Corel Painter 12, the newest version of the art studio software, was released today and will be available for sale. The software, which is compatible with both Windows and Mac, features improved brush speeds. Sporting a redesigned and customizable user interface, Corel Painter 12 is claimed to ease the workflow.
The software has a host of new features for artists like new brushes called 'real watercolor' and 'real wet oil'. These brushes are expected to provide a good level of realism to paintings. It also offers new progressive tools like 'new kaleidoscope' or 'Mandala painting'. Artists can also create automatic symmetry using the 'new mirror painting' tool.
"Our Painter community has always been the driving force behind our development priorities," said Andy Church, Product Manager for Corel Painter. "Our goal is to consistently provide our artists with powerful tools that enable them to expand and express their creative visions and to achieve the most stunning and realistic results possible. Our artists provide the inspiration and Painter provides the power, freedom, and control unmatched in any other creative environment."
